Official Talent Rules & Policies:
We would like to thank you for your interest in being a part of GLBT History. Being a part of the First Talent Agency and Production Company EXCLUSIVELY Created for the GLBT Community is something to take comfort, confidence and pride in as it was intended to be. With this in mind, it is important and mandatory for all Talent to be mindful and adhere to the following policies which were not only created to protect the Vision, reputation and professional image of the company, but to also protect the Talent it represents, and present to the public.
These policies and guidelines are for Agency purposes so that all Registered Talent can be aware of what to expect from us as an within a company, and what we expect from you as a Talent. We are not obligated to perform nor provide anything outside of what is mentioned in these policies or in our Advertising Materials.
All Talent will be required to sign a separate 2 year Agreement with the Company once an assignment is accepted (paid or non-paid), and if the Talent is in need of Consulting Solutions in Artist Management and Booking. All Talent must submit a valid State ID and / or Drivers License before performing an assignment or project so that proper paperwork for verification and compensation can be executed (Please refer to our Registration Requirements for further details).
Meak Productions gives UNLIMITED Advertising and Marketing exposure to all Registered Talent who have a marketable presence and showcase excellence and professionalism in their field of Art (whether it be Performing Arts, Literary Arts, Visual Arts and / or Recording Arts).
By registering online with Meak Productions, and being accepted as a Registered Talent, you give us permission to market your likeness and your abilities to the General Public in order to help bring more business to the Company, and more potential Contractual Opportunities to you, our Talent.
All Talent that is featured in any of our Marketing campaigns will have 1st opportunity to review most of our materials before it launches so that you will see firsthand how we are marketing our company, which in turn helps market you.
All Talent are required to provide us with the names of all photographers whether it be yourself, a professional, or a studio, so that we may showcase their proper artistic credit and copyright on all materials.
All Talent are allowed to use Marketing and Advertising Materials that they are featured in for there professional use via online portals (MySpace, FaceBook, Model Mayham, etc) or print for in-person interviews and auditions. This is a win-win situation cause it assist us as well as Registered Talent in marketing our Vision to the general public. Talent may purchase additional prints of Advertising / Marketing Materials by visiting our Merchandise Store via our website, or by contacting our Office.
However, Talent is NOT ALLOWED to Erase nor Remove any Design / Artistic Credits from our Marketing, Advertising or CD/DVD Materials that they are featured in as it violates the Copyright laws and Artistic works of all parties involved in the project (which includes but not limited to: The Talent, Artist, Designer, Photographer, Producer, etc.). Violation of this will result in legal action.
Selected Registered Talent who are seasoned and / or who present a level of professionalism and artistic excellence may be featured as our Talent of the Month during each Quarterly Marketing Campaign for our Company. Each Talent of the Month will get premium spotlight promotion and showcasing on our Website and MySpace pages, along with Free E-Postcards and Ads that are produced. In exchange for the sponsored services and products aforementioned, those who are selected as Talent of the Month will be required to assist in the promotion and marketing of the advertisement that they are featured in. This includes uploading our postcards or advertisements on your website, MySpace or other online pages, passing out information at your local clubs and outlets during the Month you are featured, and representing Meak Productions on specific interviews and public features.
All Talent must provide adequate Photos of him/herself, as well as a Professional Bio so that your Online Composite Page can be developed. Those who do not have these items can access our Consulting Solutions and purchase what you need (please refer to your New Talent Brochure and Pricing Listing for more information).
Registered Talent who are Musicians, Vocalist, Composers, Songwriters, Painters, Illustrators, Authors, Poets, Fine Artists, Dancers and Performers are required to submit a copy of their work, or a CD, VCD or DVD of your performance so that we may determine your best asset, how to best Market your abilities and which opportunities to look for. Each talent may also upload their performances as well as photos to a website, blog or online page of their choice for easy access.
As a benefit of being registered with the Company, you have first preference to fully participate in our In-House production projects and Signature Events. You also have the opportunity to make on-going royalties for any calendar, photo book and/or presentation created by and sold through our company. Based on the item produced, Royalties are between the ranges of 2% - 25% of net profits for as long as the product sells. Those seeking more royalties (like 30% and above) will be required to make a financial investment towards the production, project or product that they are featured in.
Collaboration opportunities are also available and ENCOURAGED! We at Meak Productions want to work with any Talent that have Event and / or Production ideas to help launch their success, and Talent is also encouraged to apply for any Job Opportunities within the Company that they feel they are qualified for. The more artistic expression we have on our team, the better our reputation as Company will be. Those who are Entrepreneurs as well as Talent will have 1st preference.
The Following Procedures are MANDATORY when representing the Company and when on Assignments for our Clients:
♦ All Registered Talent is required to use PROFESSIONALISM at all times when on an assignment or doing a performance. It is imperative that you DO NOT be late for any scheduled and / or agreed upon contract.
Be sure to know what all assignments and contract opportunities entail. Unless otherwise stated, once you accept your assignment, you are required to stay on the assignment until it ends, except in emergencies.
♦ We advise all Talent to NOT give PERSONAL INFORMATION to a client. Always refer them to the Agency so that we can make sure that your identity is protected, and they you are being represented in the best way possible.
♦ When on an assignment or going for an audition, do not bring anyone other than yourself, a Meak Productions representative or your Current Manager if the situation requires it.
♦ If you are not going to be able to make it to an assignment or audition, you must notify the Agency within 24 to 48 hours so that a replacement will be provided. Do not contact the client if you will not be able to make it to an audition or assignment.
♦ Please bear in mind that when you go on an assignment or perform a contract, you are not just representing yourself; you are representing the World's First Talent Agency and Production Company EXCLUSIVELY Created for the GLBT Community.
This means that you are changing the way GLBT people are viewed and represented in the Entertainment Industry and the General Public. Professionalism, Sound Judgment, Great Attitude, and Self-Love and Respect is a Must. So, please dress appropriately with perfect hygiene in tack.
♦ Be sure to bring your talent marketing items, such as business card, composite card, performance CD or DVD, headshot and / or bio when attending an audition. If it is a Client Contract, they would have already accessed this via our Agency Website and your Online Composite Page.
♦ When on an assignment or contract, please use professional language at all times. Remember, this is business, not personal. Any personal issues with an assignment or contract should be brought to the attention of the agency.
♦ It is not recommended to go out or party late the night before an important audition or contractual opportunity. We want to make sure that our Talent has enough rest and preparation before any assignment so that they can be at their best.
♦ Be sure to eat your meals before going to an audition so that you can be fully nourished and prepared. It is not recommended to smoke during your audition unless it is allowed or a designated area is provided.
♦ DO NOT forget to take contract vouchers with you for any contract or assignments that require it. This is how you get paid for that assignment. In most cases, clients will pay via our online payment system (which makes it easier for us to compensate our Talent more efficient). If a voucher is needed for a contract, it will be provided to you by the Agency. Be sure to turn in your vouchers when they are signed by client, so that you may be compensated in a timely manner.

WE HAVE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR “DIVATUDE” and Discrimination.
CORRUPT ATTITUDES do not work for anyone involved, and it especially hurts the Talent's image. Please know how to control yourself in a professional setting. We expect all Talent to respect themselves and others as it relates to personal beliefs, religion, race, and other related issues.
DO NOT DISCUSS RATES OR OTHER BOOKINGS WITH CLIENTS OR OTHER TALENT. Your information is STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL. For those who hire us for Artist Management and / or Booking, it is our job to handle all negotiations related to you as a Talent. Please allow us and trust us to do an effective and excellent job.
All information concerning Meak Productions, it's operations, project and production ideas or concepts are STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL. You are not to disclose any information to clients or outside sources about our concepts and ideas unless otherwise noted.
Under the policies of Meak Productions, the Talent hereby release and fully discharge Meak Productions, Incorporated; Its officers, contractors, associates, members, and representatives from any and all suits, sums of money, judgments, executions, damages, losses, and expenses of any kind (known or unknown) that the above Talent may have.
